The Han dynasty rose to power while ancient Rome ruled much of Europe. The Han are known for unifying groups and societies in and around China. Their accomplishments include advances in science, mathematics and engineering. The Han also increased trade with merchants and markets across Asia and into the Middle East and Europe.
